The Candidate would be responsible to, process and analyze, geographic information provided by geodetic surveys, aerial photographs, and satellite data. Research, study, and prepare maps and other spatial data in digital or graphic form for legal, social, political, educational, and design purposes. Will work with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team. Will design and evaluate algorithms, data structures, and user interfaces for GIS and mapping systems.
• Delineate aerial photographic detail such as control points, hydrography, topography, and cultural features.
• Identify, scale, and orient geodetic points, elevations, and other planmetric or topographic features, applying standard mathematical formulas.
• Revise existing maps and charts, making all necessary corrections and adjustments.
• Inspect final compositions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Build and update digital databases.
• Determine map content and layout, as well as production specifications such as scale, size, projection, and colors, and direct production to
ensure that specifications are followed.
• Determine guidelines that specify which source material is acceptable for use.
• Examine and analyze data from ground survey reports, aerial photographs, and satellite images to prepare topographic maps, aerial-photograph
mosaics, and related charts.
• Study legal records to establish boundaries of local, national, and international properties.
• Select aerial photographic and remote sensing techniques needed to meet required standards of accuracy.
• Travel over photographed areas to observe, identify, record, and verify all relevant features.
The ideal candidate for this challenging position should possess:
• Proficiency to operate post processing software like Pix 4D, AGI Soft, Bentley Context Capture etc for photogrammetry and LIDAR data processing.
• Use computer aided drafting or design software for design, drafting, modeling or other engineering tasks
• Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
• Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
• Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards
